Advanced Placement is a national curriculum program of the College Board. MCA offers five approved AP courses, available to junior and/or senior students. These are the most rigorous courses offered at MCA; being taught at the university level, they give the student the opportunity to complete college-level work, developing stronger critical thinking, writing, and comprehension skills. All students enrolled in AP courses take the end of year national exam. MCA students’ exam scores overall are well above the national and state averages; over the past three years, 100% of AP Calculus AB students have passed the exam, students earned passing scores on 77% of both AP Government and AP English Literature & Language exams combined . The opportunity to earn college credit exists based upon the score earned on the end of course national exam. Visit the AP Student Website for more information:
